Can't wait to see Falcon Nation in D.C.!!! Pumped to be going to a BGSU bowl game for the first time! VERY good opponent in San Jose State. 10-2, only losses at Stanford (almost pulled it out), and to a ranked Utah State team. They beat BYU and Louisiana Tech, those are probably their best wins. They score ALOT. Intriguing match-up against our defense, should be entertaining.

Thrilled with the match-up, even more thrilled with the location. This is the only game I could attend, and here we are!

Go Falcons!

And if there's anyone out there going to D.C. for the first time, it's a great city. If you're in town for a few days, awesome. If not, be sure to explore the town in the time you have before and after the game.

Remember, $10 ticket price is only good for the first 10 days! Price goes up on December 12th. Get your tickets early so you don't forget and pay more. Mr. Lichtensteiger did a lot of canvassing to the Military Bowl reps to help BG get a spot, as did Bob Latta. Props to them.

I live out here and I love it. Lots of great stuff to do, loads of great restaurants and pubs. PM me if you're headed this way and need some suggestions.

Bier Baron. They have like 500 different varieties of bottled beers. It's near DuPont Circle off red line. There's also a good Irish pub right there called James Hoban. Great place.
Up at Chinatown there's lots to eat. Another great Irish pub too, right off the metro, though the name is escaping me right now. And near that is Pi. Pizza place and pub. It's awesome.
Lots of good little pubs in old town Alexandria (VA), including one that's called Bilbo Baggins. I kid you not. Lord of the RIngs themed pub. Lots of good beer, was just there yesterday.
National Harbor is more of a local place to hang out but it's great night life. There's a good dueling piano bar there. I was there with some other Purdue buddies from grad school when some Ohio State moron paid 10 bucks to get Hang On Sloopy to be played. I dropped about 40 to get the pianist to cease playing that offensive music and play Hail Hail to Old Purdue and also fend off the idiots. Fun time.

Also ... everybody knows the Smithsonian museums. There's some other great ones in the city too. I highly recommend the International Spy Museum, right by Chinatown metro station. And right by that museum is the National Museum of Crime and Punishment. May not appeal to everybody but hailing from a law enforcement background I loved it.

And don't go to Anacostia unless you want to buy cocaine or get shot.

Should be a good game, SJSU has a good resume and a high scoring offense. Also have some pretty hideous uniforms.

You're right. I'll probably buy tickets before I'm even sure I'm going to go.
