Send the band!

Post by Rightupinthere »

Okay, kids. Without question one of the finest embassage of Bowling Green State University is the band program and, more specifically, the Falcon Marching Band.

The band needs financial help for the bowl trip!

Log onto My Ziggy and give to the University Bands Fund.

I remember attending both the Raisin Bowl and Silver Bowl and had a great time and people really enjoyed having the band at the game.

300 members is a lot more members than when I marched [and a dollar was worth a little more than now], so the need is far greater.

Thank you!

Please correct me if I'm wrong .... but I believe I heard the band is going. Not like the bowl three years ago where it took Clawson and Hayward together pleading to the pres and AD to send the band, but that the band actually is going without a hitch this time. If I'm wrong, somebody please correct me. I'd hate to bring good news to 300 folks and be wrong about it.

I saw the band will be there, also. They are asking for donations to help defray the cost.

Great news! I was in band for three years .... there will be a donation coming from me. I also hope the SJSU band is able to go. Band members should be able to enjoy bowl trips. I had one and loved it.

We'll be donating as well. BGFan was in the FMB his freshman year. I told him as an FMB alum, he was obligated to donate! :-D \:D/ :supz:

GO FALCONS!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
