That will look pretty sweet on a white helmet.

Does anybody have an "in" with the University? I would love to get some of the decals for my helmet collection. I have the LT helmet with the white inside, the brown outlined LT falcon, and the BG initials helmet. I NEED to get 2 sets of peek-a-boo decals (with helmet stripe) for a white and matte-orange helmet. Now this flag motif has me intrigued also.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I miss the LT logo. That would have looked sweet with the center field blue with stars and the rest of the logo with the red and white stripes. No doubt we will be wearing the white helmets for this game, as that makes sense with patriotic logo. We are the home team, so will be wearing the orange jerseys. I'm sure we will go with the white pants, however, I would like to see the orange bottoms. That's a combo we haven't worn this year. It would be reminiscent of what Oklahoma State wore a lot in the Barry Sanders era.

My guess is it will be white helmets, orange jerseys and orange pants.

I have to agree with Niz.

For me, I really do dislike it when the Flag is integrated into things like this. Just my opinion and preference.

The Flag Code addresses the impropriety of using the flag as an article of
personal adornment, a design on items of temporary use, and item of clothing. The
evident purpose of these suggested restraints is to limit the commercial or common
usage of the flag and, thus, maintain its dignity. The 1976 amendments to the Code
recognized the wearing of a flag patch or pin on the left side (near the heart) of
uniforms of military personnel, firemen, policemen, and members of patriotic organizations.

The Code also states that the flag should never be used for
advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever. While wearing the colors may be in poor taste and offensive to many, it is important to remember that the Flag Code is intended as a guide to be followed on a purely voluntary basis to insure proper respect for the flag.

I don't object to to the decal on any philosphical basis....although I understand that people do and I respect their right to do so....I think it's noisy and the color mix doesn't really work

I understand how Niz feels, especially since he's military, and I very much respect his point of view. But, as a fan, I really love it. Love that we are showing our pride in being in the Military Bowl by doing this! Doubt if we would have made our logo into something potato-linked for the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl or pizza related for the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl. Military pride is something we ALL feel good about!!
