UCF rolls Ball State 38-17 in the Beef O' Brady's Bowl in St Pete, FL. The Cardinals never got on track...so far, MAC isn't getting it done.

Ball St. looked good on the first two plays of the game.
UCF was a much better team. Ball State didn't look like they belonged.

Judging a conference based on bowl games is like judging a baseball season on spring training. They are exhibition games and no more. Most guys go into these games praying they don't get hurt, and some coaches choose to play their seniors more out of respect to them.

Your comparing preseason to postseason. Sorry you're way off on that one.

They didn't belong, that is the point.

Yes, the MAC is 0-2 but Utah State and UCF are better teams than Toledo and Ball State. Like Clawson said, if the MAC goes 1-6 in the bowls, as long as BG has the win, that is what counts. But I do hope the conference racks up some wins.

With an enrollment of close to 60,000, a prime location in central Florida and a 45,000 seat football stadium, UCF is going to be a major player going forward. They've come a long way already from the late 90's when they moved to what was then 1A.

It's important for the MAC to win bowl games, but I agree that if BG is the only MAC team to win, that would still be a great bowl season.

I fully expect the Mac to get drilled in bowls this year. The Niu bcs bid is awesome for the conference, but it also bumped each team up one bowl.

The Orange Bowl is the most important bowl game for the MAC this year. I wold take 1-6 if NIU is the lone victor. No brainer.

I'm no Quisling.....NIU and the rest of the MAC can get drilled like a Kardashian at an NBA players association meeting if it means BGSU wins the Military Bowl.

Are or were we favored in any of the 7 match ups?

One report had Ball St as having the best chance for victory.

I believe that Kent will have the best chance for a win. I believe it is close to a tossup per early odds. Kent has the speed to contend. I think CMU has the 2nd best chance based on a qausi home game unlike most MAC teams. I'll go with BG third (if everything goes perfect).

I don't think the MAC was the fave in any bowl...most of them were 7 pt dogs.
