Omar to be in ESPN Commercial?

According to the day 4 notes on the athletics website, Omar taped an ESPN Promo for the network's upcoming "Bowl Week" (12/27-1/1). It didn't say if it was him by himself, or if there was anyone else in it. Either way, I can't wait to see this! What a great way for the Falcons and Omar to get some national notoriety, other than playing in the game of course.

Now we just have to lobby to get Freddie and or Frieda in an ESPN Sportcenter commercial.

I hate to nit-pick (ok, no, I don't really hate it, in fact I relish it!!). Notoriety is not a good thing. Notoriety is the quality or state of being notorious which means:
generally known and talked of; especially : widely and unfavorably known
We all know what you're saying and agree with you though.

I just am in one of those moods today.

I found this as well:
Jacobs filmed a special feature to air prior to Wednesday night's game with Holly Rowe. In addition, he also filmed a promotion for bowl week on ESPN.

Along the same lines, Grant, I find people using the term "infamous" inproperly. More often than not it is sportscaster who use this as a term of endearment, when much like notoriety, it has negative connotations. Such as "Bowling Green knocked off Nationally Ranked Purdue in that infamous 'year of the MAC' in 2003". . . .

He is notorious.
His stats as a soph should be considered illegal.

While we're in the mood, Dayon, shouldn't it be "people are using infamous IMproperly?"
I'm not sure inproperly is a word.

I've been saying that for almost a month now....in fact, I have turned his numbers, and videotape on him into the NCAA office, inquiring over whether the things he's doing could possibly be in some sort of violation of the NCAA rulebook..
With any luck, the upcoming investigation will tie him up just long enough to keep him off the field tomorrow night...

My pet peeve is people who use the terms "villain"and "anti-hero" interchangeably.

You're out of luck, brother, the NCAA has their hands full with that Columbus school.
We're flyin' under the radar!

This is great 4 Omar, now every1 around the nation will see him and maybe the will start paying attention to him and next year when he puts up big numbers like he did this year he can be a Heisman Hopeful. He is easily the best QB in the mac and next year the nation, he will be playing on sundays in 3 years...
