I like the schedule alot. 3 homes games in a row, and like Factman pointed out a bye week before Toledo.

What the hell is the deal with the OU game?
Nov. 12 – Tuesday
#*Buffalo at Toledo, TBA (ESPNU/ESPN3)
#*Ohio at Bowling Green, TBA (ESPNU/ESPN3)
So there's a chance we are forced to play a Tuesday night home game and not even make it on TV. WOW.

@ Buffalo-Fri (Buffalo on the last Friday night in November will draw well)
Our two biggest rivals and draws, other than UT are both on Tuesday night!

Concerned about Miami's attendance numbers?

No, but that is a game a lot of BG fans like to travel to if it were on a
Saturday afternoon.

If we're as successful as we expect to be, this schedule sets up pretty perfect for the program. The only questionable attendance home game if that plays out would be against Ohio, which could be for the division.
As a fan, I'm fairly blah about the whole thing, as I see a huge difference between working an ESPN deal for exposure and playing games on ESPNU on Tuesday nights.
Either way, lets win the whole damn thing.

There will be no waiting around to see if we are going to be a good team or not this year. Open with Tulsa, then hit the road to play Kent State right off the bat. This early MAC game has usually been EMU or Ball State or something it seems the last few years, but this time it could very well set the tone for the MAC East title right away. I see KSU, OU and BG as the top three teams and this game is going to put one of us in the driver's seat, and the other straight to the back of the line. Huge game! I am still having nightmares of Dri Archer torching the hell out of our run defense last year. Two of his runs alone simply killed us and our shot at the MAC title. KSU has certainly had out number in recent years too.

For the most part, I dig the slate. Hate to miss the Miami game but at least it's on ESPN2. Mrs freaks cousin is getting married Sept 7 so we'll have to miss the Kent game in our backyard...which sucks. Guess we'll make the road trip to IU. I also love getting a bye before terdledo. We will make the trips to EMU and UB.
Tee the ball up....GO FALCONS!!!!

Of all the MAC teams, only three have home games vs BCS opponents. Miami-Cincinnati is at Miami this year and since that one is a yearly rivalry that doesn't really count for much in my book. UMass hosts Vandy and Buffalo hosts Connecticut. Good thing we have Indiana and Maryland coming our way soon.
I like our schedule a lot. And I'll be there Oct 5 for homecoming.

This is a very favorable schedule. We catch Kent State early with a new coach, which should help BG's chances a lot in that game. The bye week before Toledo is a huge, and UT is home that week so some free scouting for the coaches. We have Ohio at home late in the season which should be a great game. Also like that the Miss St. game is in the middle of the season and not early...that game is winnable and I think with a few weeks under the team's belt, they can win that game.

Well we are going to find out once and for all what is more important, weather/date of game, or quality of opponent. Of our hard games at home, Tulsa is on a Thursday, Toledo is late in the season, and Ohio is really late and on a Tuesday. Meanwhile our scrub opponents Umass, Murray Stte and Akron are all on Saturdays early in the year.
On the flip side we have two games late against Buffalo and EMU where we very well could orange out their stadiums with tons more bg fans than theirs, assuming both teams are bad.
It bothers me that the KSU game is so early. Why the MAC office did that makes no sense to me. That game should be at the end, not the beginning. Now the loser is probably out of the conference title race after the first MAC game.
