Clawson did mention the QB competition would be, "opened up." Looking forward to April 12th!

I love everything about this program. Just about everything is handled the exact correct way. I really hope Schilz gets pushed really hard during Spring and Fall practice. I think it'll help a lot. I expect him to start as it is, but if he is outplayed, the best QB should start.

Everything is setting up for the Falcons to have that season they've been building toward for a long time now.Falconfreak90 wrote:Looking forward to a GREAT season....GO FALCONS!!!
It's time for Clawson to finally get this team over that last hurdle and win a MAC title.
Re: Spring practice starts today!!!
Greatly improved QB play from whomever it ends up being would make us a top 25 team IMO.

Hope Knapke can surprise and turn some heads, I like his size a lot. Schilz IMO has a long way to go to be confident he's the #1 QB.
The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.
Re: Spring practice starts today!!!
Competition makes everybody better. I hope a good tight QB competition leads to great improvement at QB. I would be somewhat surprised if anyone but Schilz wins the job but if someone else does he will have earned it.

Gotta replace our 2 best defensive players but we should be good.kdog27 wrote:Greatly improved QB play from whomever it ends up being would make us a top 25 team IMO.

I remember when his team won the HS championship he was wearing a BG headband in post game interviews. Kid seems to bleed orange and brown. I hope he has a really bright future here.jpfalcon09 wrote:Hope Knapke can surprise and turn some heads, I like his size a lot. Schilz IMO has a long way to go to be confident he's the #1 QB.

Re: Spring practice starts today!!!
It sounds like QB isn't the only position with competition. Clawson has made it clear that the OL is too.
Kinda suprised that no one has mentioned Kendall Montgomey's full time move to DE. At 6-5 and 270 he's the protypical size for the NFL. If he can get acclimated to reading and reacting....he could be a huge factor the next two years.

It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
