That was fast .. Austin Thomas left bowling green to take the player personnel Job at LSU.. I understand that LSU is a better job but talk about bad timing ...

Damn. When footballscoop went out of their way to praise the hire it put this kid on the radar of every other team in need of someone like this.
Vernon Hargreaves from the Brandon days was here a short period of time, and Clawson's original hire for DC (Joe Trainer) left after a couple weeks to take the head coaching job at Rhode Island. Next man up. If LSU wants what we have it's an indication Clawson knows what to look for when making the hire.
(BTW, we also need a replacement for Clint Dowdle.)

It looks like they hired someone but it hasn't been announced yet. Asil Mulbah was with the program for a few years before briefly departing for an entry-level position with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Now he's back.
On his LinkedIn page it says that one of his duties with the Jaguars was serving as "The Turk," aka the person who tells people to turn in their playbook and see the GM before being cut.

You'd think that skill set would qualify him for a spot in the SEC....
