Shaq Hall Gone

Post by Redwingtom »

Hall dismissed from BGSU football team
Shaq Hall has been dismissed from the Bowling Green State University football team for a violation of team rules.

Hall, a 6-foot-3, 256 pounds defensive end, saw action in three games (Rhode Island, Akron, Miami) during the 2012 season.

Hall, from Naples, Fla., was a redshirt freshman in the 2012 season.

DE - Charlie Walker (JR.), Bryan Thomas (JR.), Bryan Baird (SO), Ronnie Goble (SR) and now Kendall Montgomery (SR). I think the end position will be fine. It hurts depth a little bit. But Jason Shepherd comes in this year and the first verbal for next year is Brian Sanders a DE from Detroit.

DT - Colvin (JR), Royster (SO), Lunsford (FR), Minns (SO), Campbell (SR), Ouellett (SR). Maynard will not be returning.

Interested to see an updated roster with height and weight. There is still some bulk in the middle with Minns (317) and Campbell (310). I'm sure Colvin is heavier than the 268 he is currently listed. Interested to see how much weight Lunsford and Royster have put on.

Suspended from the team in February. I'm just guessing we won't be seeing him again.

J Campbelll could come back with a vengeance this year after missing last year with injuries. The dude is a monster at 6'5" 310.

The story on Maynard is indefinite suspension, but last I heard he was still required to participate in all team practices, conditioning, etc. Indefinite suspension means the player has not been kicked off the team, has been given criteria for how to work hard and improve behaviors and actions with the goal being a return to the team, but has been given no guarantee of any kind of a return. I don't know the nature of the offense and I think it would be inappropriate for me to personally know. It's not in the news as far as I know.

Falcon 137- Maynard's suspension is for 5 games. Why do you say we won't be seeing him again? Do you know something we don't ?

I had heard he was transferring. But, didn't want to post anything until it was official. Never heard or saw anything about 5 games, maybe something changed.

So far I've heard ...
... suspended indefinitely
... five game suspension
... transferring

I think it is best to hang tight until we hear something official and until then hope for the best for this young man's education and future and also hope we see him playing football for us soon.
