That's awesome. Wasn't sure he would and he made it before the 7th!

Congrats to the both of them!!

I was somewhat surprised to see Zac Dysert get drafted. I honestly don't think he'll ever amount to much in the NFL.

CONGRATS to both Jonesy and Jordon! And IMO, Dysert is one of the most overrated QB's I've seen in a long time.

Agree. Schilz outplayed him last year too.

Congrat to Jones on being drafted and Roussos signing with Seattle!

I don't like Miami. But, Dysert was pretty good. BG wins the MAC last year with him. Other than him, Miami was horrible. Their leading rusher had 361 yards for the season.

He's a fine 7th round pick. Good arm, good mobility (he ran a 4.6, 40), he'll sit for several years learning from Peyton Manning. Fight for the backup job with Brock Osweiler and see what happens when Manning retires.

He was drafted while 2 Ohio State players that Meyer raved about had to sign on as undrafted priority free agents. :-)

Chris got some nice compliments from the Houston Chronicle blogger!
Chris Jones, DT, Bowling Green - At 6’2/302, Jones has NT written all over him for the Texans. This is a great value pick for the Texans and shows a great understanding by Rick Smith of how to approach the NT position in this draft. Jones had 12.5 sacks in 2012 thanks to his quickness of the snap and great usage of hands. Jones’ arm over move fits in nicely with what Wade Phillips wants to see from his 1-gap NTs. Jones shows a similar motor to Earl Mitchell.

And a culinary review from an SBNation blogger ;)
6th Round - Bowling Green State defensive tackle Chris Jones
Grade - Trying a new food that you are skeptical about and slowly liking it.

In 2011, I made a trip to my first Minnesota State Fair. It's a great event, but they have some bizarre foods, as is the custom of state fairs. There was this alligator stand and, being a few beers in, I decided, "What the hell?" I purchased the gator and sat down to eat. I was still skeptical about it at first but, as I slowly chewed the first bite, I came around. That's how I feel about Mr. Jones.

Relentless, productive, 2012 MAC Defensive Player of the Year, and high-energy. The on-field production combined with a high-motor makes this a Wade Phillips pick and, by his Houston track record, Wade Phillips doesn't miss on his evaluations. He knows what he wants in the front seven and Jones is it. Like eating that gator, I've come around that maybe the 330-pound nose tackle was not the way to go and Jones is.

In response to the Houston article...How do you have 12.5 sacks? How do you half a sack?

You only get credit for half a sack when you assisted on a sack and it wasn't solo.

So that's what Tom Amstutz is up to these days.
