Can't argue with NIU being picked to win the MAC but we should be a better team than OU.

They knew about Samuel; I wonder if they knew about Cooper too. With all the defections second place went from insulting to appropriate.

The O-line and Schilz's dropoff last year makes me uneasy about our offense. The first game will be very revealing. I think we will be a solid defense and have good special teams. Offense is a huge question mark.
I have to say Ohio should be picked over us until we prove otherwise.

A RB transfers to be closer to his family and an offensive lineman may or may NOT have been kicked off the team and you act like we're going to be lucky to have a 2 deep with how many players are gone.

Yea settle down Beavis. We have pretty much known about Samuel for what 6 months now? These things happen every year to every team.

I dunno, BG came to Athens and beat the Cats pretty good last year. granted, Ohio couldn't execute a punt to save their lives and Samuel torched the defense.
As for this years game, I'm disappointed it's on a Tuesday night. It also happens to be the same Tuesday night Ohio's basketball team is playing Ohio St. in Columbus. Hope that doesn't hurt our attendance too much. I'm fully expecting the winner of that game to go to Detroit.

Not just any running back. Anthon Samuel. Not just any offensive lineman. Our projected left tackle with 13 starts under his belt that Mr. Phil Steele identified as an NFL prospect. Add to that a CB from last year's two deep and a chunk of the 2013 recruiting class, one of which was tabbed by the Sporting News as our top incoming recruit.
We should be OK this year but, all other things being equal, I'd prefer to keep talented players year in and year out.

And we added a highly talented WR via transfer and another highly touted DT via transfer. These things tend to even out.

Exactly. I'm not that worried about Samuel because we have known that was coming, and there is plenty of talent at that position. I do hope that Cooper gets things straightened out because he looked promising... We're about as deep as it gets in the secondary.
