If anyone could share some scrimmage updates from today, it would be much appreciated. Also, any update on Darrell Hunter's injury?

D looks FAST. Flying around and 8+ guys to the ball every time. William Houston looks good, the 260lb transfer. Coppet is gonna be a stud. Punting and kicking is solid...we'll see in actual games. QBs look even to me. Farinella hitting the end zone on most kicks. Beautiful day at the Doyt.

Johnson and Schilz both had good days, I'd say Johnson had better overall success moving the offense though. The stable of RBs this year is going to be a huge advantage. Fred Coppet is all-MAC talent and Travis Greene looked very good as well. Chris Gallon is also gonna have a monster year. He reminds me a lot of Steve Sanders. This is shaping up to be a special year, I can't wait to tee it up in 10 days.

Good to hear. Does the offense look like last year or are they opening it up more?

Little bit, what helps this year is simply that the offense has playmakers finally for every situation. There's finally a game changer at WR, TE and HB that the team sorely lacked last year (especially at WR until late in the season). I really hope coach finds a place for Coppet on the field.

I'm kinda ... selfishly ... hoping that all four of the freshmen runningbacks can be redshirted this year. That way we can get the most out of them in the future and let them strengthen up as much as possible until their first Division 1 carries. That would mean between Hopgood, Martin, Givens, and Greene, we are solid at the position.
That being said ... if the coaches feel like playing any of those four this year will make us a better team and lead to more wins ... then I can't wait to see those guys on the field!

Coppet saw time today both at RB and returning kicks. He ran one kick back but it was called back due to a penalty. My guess is he plays this year. Watching him out there, you can see how talented he is and he has the explosiveness to break at any time.

I heard from a VERY good source that Houston may play this year. I thought he looked very good, especially down near the goalline

Claws on has said there are two positions where there's no such thing as too much depth ... DL and RB. If Houston plays this year also along with Coppet, talk about depth and talent. Wow ...

Per Clawson's post scrimmage interview...
Hunter might be lost for the year at corner, hand/wrist injury. Brian Sutton(#3 was backup rover) and Diontre Delk(was #84 WR) have both been moved to corner.
Moving Sutton implies Gabe Martin is staying put at rover so that might mean another LB is doing well enough to make the coaches comfortable enough to not move Martin inside to help Lynch and Swan.
Sounds like they are considering burning 4 red-shirts......Coppit, Levy, Moore and Redding.
Watson and Hopgood both sat this scrimmage out but both are expected to be ready for game 1.

Moore, Box and Levy will certainly play. No question. At RB, as stated elsewhere, you can play several and w J Martin just getting up to 100%, they can help. Moore went sub 4.4 in 40- as in actually. That is very fast for anyone especially if you are first year. Teo can do some things too. That big time vertical rumor looks accurate.
Go Falcons!

I want Teo at CB...that kid is over 6ft and he flips his hips like a 5-9 smurf.

Damn, damn, damn.... I was afraid that could be the case from what I read about it earlier. This injury coupled with the transfer of McKoy sure sure put a hit on this CB position in a matter of days. That's three starters we have lost now before the season has even started in Samuel, Cooper and now likely Hunter. Yes, I know there's nothing we can do about it, but it still sucks.
