TEN Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail Courses located within a two hour drive? What more do you want?

Casinos? A little over three hours to Biloxi.

A little over three hours to Panama City.

AND....

AND...

You're only two hours away from everyone's favorite Fox10 Sports Anchor - Simone Eli.

Hopefully this is the bowls slogan...."We're not Detroit."

As far as the attractions transfer mentioned....2+ hours after driving 8 1/2 hours (from Dayton for me. 11 hours for those of you north of BG) doesn't seem very attractive. I love golf, play 3 or 4 times a week. But, unless you're taking a week off it's hardly worth taking your clubs. Although, Alabama does have some beautiful courses. Seasonal highs in the 50s with lows in the 30s isn't making me reach for my driver.

I am glad the MAC kept another bowl tie-in. The extra practices you get are huge. Hopefully there is another bowl vs CUSA or the AAC.

According to those in the know on Twitter, it will be called the Biscuit Bowl. The MAC certainly loves their food themed bowl games.

Damn, I'm guessing this replaces what would have been a "home game" for me here in Charleston.

Details for the proposed college football bowl game:

Name: Legends Bowl

Stadium: Johnson Hagood

TV: NBC Sports Network

First game: Dec. 20, 2014

Conferences: Sun Belt and Mid-American

Economic impact: $6 million (estimated)

Correction: Bowl game is called the Camellia Bowl, named after a flower found in Alabama.

Still a chance it could happen, with the power 5 conferences setting it up where they play each other in the majority of the already established bowl games there have been rumors of multiple new bowl games being created for next year so the "group of five" conferences have slots for their bowl teams. I would expect to see more new bowls then just this one being created for next year. Especially since NBC Sports Network and the new Fox Sports 1 want to get into televising bowl games

The possible bowl in Boca Raton may feature the MAC vs. C-USA, and if that happens having four automatic tie-ins wouldn't be too bad.

I'm an advocate for the 3000 Flushes Toilet Bowl featuring the two worst teams in college football.

When I would purchase the college football video game after the real regular season ended I always played an exhibition game I called the Toilet Bowl between the two teams I thought to be the worst in college football. I always played the game at the Glass Bowl as well :-D

There will never be enough bowls where EMU and Idaho get selected for one, unless they join a power five conference where they have spots lined up for all 14-16 members of their conference

Like anyone else I think there are too many bowls, but I can't blame the MAC, Sun Belt, Mountain West, CUSA or AAC for wanting to create these new games for their schools since the getting left out of the already established bowls that are taking the 12th best team in the Big 10 and 13th best in the ACC
