Houston looks like a beast!

Certainly an important role player....just need a lightning back to step up to complement the thunder. Other comments already made on the state of the passing game, so if that improves I think it will naturally open up more opportunities for the run attack. One improvable point is the design of several plays that took way too long in the back field. And once they netted negative or no yards it stalled the series and thus the poor performance on 3rd down conversions.

Still thinking the play of the game was Truss' tackle of the punter on the fake. Big Tree falls hard!

I would have to agree. It looked for sure like he was going to get to the marker and Truss just exploded toward him. Had he not made that play, they have a first down and maybe a spark that might have got them momentum and kept them in the game. As it was, it totally knocked the wind out of their sails. When we made them pay by punching it in after that, the game was over because they were mentally beaten at that point.

I really like Houston. I think he could be good in more than just short yard scenarios and definitely opens IP some great play action options.

there was a penalty on the play (Tulsa), so they would not of gotten the 1st down!!!

Agree. He may be 260 pounds, but the man is light on his feet; has quick movement for a big back, and a nice burst of speed to go with his strength while running.

He doesn't have to be just a goal line or short yardage weapon. He can be a back used at any point in the game. What I'd like to see is the offense put in some passing plays to the running backs so we can determine how good their hands are. If Houston also has soft hands, then you really have a multi-faceted weapon that can be used anywhere on the field.

Yep. As teams try to cope with Johnson inside and pack everything inside the tackles, it will also allow for a running QB to fake the handoff and roll out, which gives a run-pass option, often leading to an easy jaunt to the corner of the endzone.

True...I think they only had 5 guys on the line of scrimmage.

The punter thought he was playing CFL rules and was moving forward when the ball was snapped.
