MAC thus far...

So far, it looks like the MAC may be a little more credible this year. Our boys took care of business Thursday, T----O is hanging with Florida, Western hung with MSU, and Buffalo is giving a game to Columbus U... and the middle of road teams beat the I-AA teams they were supposed to beat. I know the bottom dwellers are going to take their lumps. Any other observations about week 1???

The Mack kid is a beast for Buffalo. I vote him for MAC Defensive Player of the Year now. He has talent and size to play on Sundays.

That team up north plays Eastern Washington later. I'd put them on upset alert when time comes. Eastern Washington is currently beating Oregon State.

Might not even be an upset... they are good.

Florida's defense might be scary good, only showed man to man and never brought more than 5. Most of the time the rushed 3 or 4. Toledo should rebound, but I was expecting more.

Sad how BAD Miami football has become . . a joke. Basketball not much better maybe even worse. Student apathy very evident with both programs.
Hockey a success story.

Could have said the same thing both about BG's football, basketball and student support just a short time ago around about the same time there was a serious threat to the existence of our hockey program.
College sports is very cyclical.

Pathetic to lose to Marshall like that.

It would seem that OU is in the process of getting pounded.

It appears that OU has no defense and no offensive line. Their offense is horrible and they cannot tackle on D.

Not sure what Solich's gameplan was today but it was pretty terrible. Vanilla offense left the defense hanging out to dry by keeping them on the field the whole game.
