Wow, what a great team!! I hope everyone had a great time in Mobile. I also hope that you were able to use some of my tips. I'd love to hear some feedback (positive and negative) on everything from your trip. Also, any pictures. I hate that it rained. I know that stadium would have been full if it wasn't for the weather. Atleast y'all were all able to sit together.
Well, it's been a pleasure to talk with such classy people. Y'all are always welcome in Mobile. I hope that next time y'all come down here, I can actually meet a few of you. Maybe the University of Alabama will schedule BGSU. Actually, I take that back. We want no part of y'all! Well, everyone have a safe and Merry Christmas!! Thanks again for taking the time and effort to visit Mobile. Take care.

Tom,
Mobile was great, well the whirlwind tour I saw of it in 24hrs. Rain made the game great, without it I would have been up in row 60 instead of standing down front. I will gladly make the trip back to Mobile in the Future.

We did use your tips on where to eat and park downtown. It was a great time and we were treated very well. THAT PARADE WAS ....WOW... I wasn't ready for that! IT was beyond fun!

Thanks for coming on the board and sharing your expertise. Everyone in Mobile put on a great show for us, except for the weather person!

I'm dry, I'm home in Ohio and.....the FALCONS WON!!!! YOOHOO!!

We Had A Great Time In Mobile!

Tom,

Thanks for all the information and everything! Michelle and I had a great time down there! The weather was fabulous (other than the downpour during the game)! We didn't have time to do everything we wanted to do, but really enjoyed the things we did get to do. We are going to get on the GMAC website and order the highlight tape, that's for sure! I thought Mobile was a really neat place. We enjoyed the parade and the pep rally Tuesday night, and we really had a great time celebrating with the team and other fans at the hotel after the game! I'll tell you this Tom, if the Falcons get invited back to your Bowl Game down there, that will be fine with us! Take care!

Tom-

Thanks for all of your tips. I had a great time and befiriended some locals to drink with until my girlfriend made it down- very nice people.

Also, thanks for the BRICK PIT tip... ummmm yeah I love bbq and The Brick Pit if not the number 1 I have ever had it is a 1a with Arthur Bryant's in Kansas City.

The owner took care of us and the pulled pork and ribs were amazing. Mobile was definitely a wonderful place to spend a few days. Great people! Again, thanks for your tips on everything mobilebama. . .

Hello Tom

First, THANK YOU!, for your time, interest and effort to help all of us experience Mobile, and the GMAC Bowl Game to its fullest!!

Your fellow Bama folks are great - friendly, helpful and supportive of the town and Game.

We really enjoyed the Parade and Pep Rally downtown. Mobile would be a great city to spend more time, even without the Bowl Game!!

Took a brief tour of the USS Alabama - what a ship!!

The way the entire Bowl was presented (media coverage, local support, etc) was first rate. I continue to feel BGSU got the BEST Bowl deal in the MAC.

I felt honored to be invited to attend and I hope it will happen again in the near future !

Roll Tide - Thanks again, TOM :!: aka -Mobilebama

PS I didn't care WHAT the weather was. In fact, I think the rain made if more fun !!! :supz:

The entire trip was just incredible. Thanks Tom for giving us all the advice about the city. Dauphin St. had some great night life and the food along their in the day time was great, too! The best place I ate at was Heroes...their menu just cracked me up :D Hopefully if we don't make a BCS bowl next year, we will end up in another city like Mobile if not in Mobile again!

MobileBama:

Thanks for the tips. What a great town.

BTW, if you're going to "tour guide" for next year's bowl, I'd add The Exploreum to your list, especially for those with kids. Noah & I spent the afternoon there and had an incredible time. I wish we had gotten there earlier! And it looks like there's plenty of stuff for adults, too. The Dead Sea Scrolls will be there in January - very cool. Anyway, a good family-oriented activity that gets the kids moving and is indoors (particularly important given the weather this year!).

We ate at Heroes as well. They had great burgers. I am glad we were in Mobile, rather than motown!

Bama,
Thanks for all your help. I couldn't make any farther than the Dauphin St area, but it was still great!!! I was a little disappointed with Boo Radley's, but I was also there on Weds night almost an hour after the pep rally (one of the few things that sucks about being with the band, you can't party real hard). I would love to go back to Mobile and spend more time exploring. The game was great, and I had a blast in the rain and the muck and the mire. Locals were great, memphis peeps were great, BG peeps were great, town was great, the whole experence was great. Thank you so much.

Good deal

I'm glad everyone had a good time. If you're not in a BCS bowl, let's do it again in '05. Take care.

Tell Mobile to push harder for more cruise ships to call on the port. My wife and I drive the ports we cruise from, it would be nice to have more big ships staged out of Mobile. Curiously we always pitt in Kennesaw, GA, and somehow the drive from there to Miami, Huston, New Orleans, or Mobile winds up about the same.
