If we can get a win streak going and a nice showing at Miss St. we could be gang busters for the school up North.
How was student attendance today? Was that 16,000 legit?

Very legit......I was thinking 17-18,000. West side was 80% full.

After halftime it may have been about 12,000.
High School Band Day and many of their parents flooded the exits after the halftime show.
But the First half the stadium looked nice and full.

That's what I thought...Driving up from Akron I thought for sure we wouldn't top 15K due to the IU game. We need to pack the Doyt the next couple weeks with the MAC schedule getting in full swing.

Honestly I figured the fact that we were playing against a 1-AA team would be more of a depressant on attendance than anything else. But I guess not.
Historically we've had awful attendance numbers vs Akron. I think our average vs Akron is worse than any other Mac team outside of Buffalo, though the 6pm Friday game in 2008 is probably responsible for the latter. Hopefully we get good weather Saturday and we get a great crowd. I worry about these games against Akron and Umass because you know the fans will get up for Toledo and Ohio...but against these teams perceived to be inferior, well, like players can look past teams, fans can too.

I'm guessing after the Michigan game nobody in the country will overlook Akron. UMass is I think still a couple years away from being competitive.
