The scoop on one of our walk-ons

Post by 1987alum »

Gang:

Here's a sniplet from one of my "inside" sources! :)

"Julian Shibley, the 6-7, 250 pounder from Hudson, played offensive tackle in high school. He's a good kid and a good athlete for his size. Side note: His dad owns the Yours Truly restaurant in Hudson (which I highly recommend visiting if you're in the area). He was a very good high school football player and could be good at the college level. You can't teach big so he has a leg up. He is a hard worker and has a chance. Might be a guard in college. don't see him being a 300 pounder but could easily get to 275 or so."

I wonder, though, if he's destined to be a D-lineman?

I'm still having probs. getting "on", at least to post. Hudson HS had a fairly strong team last yr. and Shibley was one of the reasons...Overall, big line, some strong skill players (many of whom played lacrosse for me) at one time. Hopefully, he'll fit in at BG and be able to help. 8)

Grant,
Don't know what I did "right" in correcting stuff on my profile, but I can post, (finally)... hopefully, this won't be a one time thing.
