Saturday is 'Wayne Bohrnstedt Day' at BGSU
BGSU President Mary Ellen Mazey has proclaimed Saturday, Oct. 26, as "Wayne Bohrnstedt Day" at BGSU and will make an on-field presentation to the original composer of the BGSU fight song "Forward Falcons" during the pregame show at Doyt Perry Stadium, just before the Falcons take on archrival Toledo at 2:30 p.m.
And be sure to stay in your seats for a stellar halftime show entitled "Falcon Fantasia," which will be dedicated to Dr. Bohrnstedt. The show will include an original piece composed by Ryan Nowlin especially for this occasion. Titled "Homage to Forward Falcons," it includes thematic material from the march. Nowlin is a well-known BGSU alumnus who also happens to be the staff arranger for the "President's Own" United States Marine Band.
