I really think our postseason hopes are going to come down to having to win the MAC East. Doing so would allow us a chance to play in the MACC and also would secure a bowl bid. Which could become crucial, because if you look at the MAC right now, we CANNOT afford another loss as it would one, all but eliminate us from the MACC, and two, drop us in he pecking order for MAC teams who are/or are going to become bowl eligible. In the West you have NIU and Ball State who will be locks and Toledo likely gets in the mix for one too, and in the East both Ohio and Buffalo have better records than we do now. The rest of the MAC can forget it, and with only three MAC bowl ties, we'd better hope and pray several conferences can't fill spots again as we'll likely be sweating it out like we did last year. You simply can't count on the MAC sending 6 or 7 teams again. It just goes to show how important winning the East is right now.
