Buffalo destroyed Miami tonight and now has 10 days to prep for BG. We're gonna have to turn around on essentially 5 days and also have to travel for this game. HUGE, HUGE, HUGE game!!! Winner wins the MAC East, goes to the MAC Championship and locks in a bowl. This is the biggest game for BG in years!

Well, the biggest BG game since last year's Kent State game. Although the Buffalo game the next week was pretty big to secure a bowl bid.

And everyone complains of mid week games.

I complain about Buffalo having all this extra time to prepare for us, while we get a short week and a travel day. That's a huge disadvantage for our guys. If we win, we will face either NIU or Turdledo, who again, will have several extra days to prepare than what we get. Something not right about the scheduling.

We had a bye week before Toledo and we came out flat...IIRC, we had extra time to prepare for Kent last year and it didn't help us. Last year we came off the Kent loss on a Saturday and sucked it up to beat Buffalo in Cbus the following Fri....that was basically a road game with short prep and we did well. If anything, we're better off this year because EMU is right in our backyard so we don't have to travel far and it should be an easier game than Kent was last year
I don't think this will be an issue for us....

I agree with Flipper, and not for the first time.

What I am most concerned about is our focus and execution. If we play like we did against Miami and Ohio in our last two games, we can beat ANYONE in the MAC. But if we fall back to our sluggish starts again and searching for our way as the game goes along, it will cost us against a good team like Buffalo as we learned against Toledo. I want to see us come out against EMU and put the game away at halftime. Let's pick up where we left off against OU vs EMU on Saturday, put the game away early, get the starters out early, and get ready for the MAC East title game against Buffalo! GO BG!!!
