The Washington job is now open with Sark leaving for USC.

Re: Wake forest
Washington will want a west coast guy. Wake could interview him, but that job is just a money grab if you take it.

I don't fear Washington. They might just offer oregeron
Re: Wake forest
Funny you posted this Sporty, I saw the report about Grobe this morning and thought the same thing about Clawson. ACC has no problem taking top coaches from the MAC.

Clawson and Lembo are nuts if they even consider this job. Why go to a place where winning is near impossible?

For the same reason(s) that other MAC coaches leave..... MONEY! Bet Wake pays a hell of a lot more than ANY MAC school. {any one remember how we thought Urban was nuts to make a "parallel move" to Utah}

Re: Wake forest
FWIW, Jeremy Fowler of CBS Sports has said that UConn has had no contact with Clawson.

Re: Wake forest
I've heard that Lembo and Orgeron are at the top of Wake's list right now. Lembo coached at Elon for years, which isn't far up the road from Wake, and he had a lot of contacts with the coaching staff there. It's definitely a place he would want to go and he would be getting well over $1 mil per season there. It's not an impossible place to win at all. It is, however, an impossible place to win consistently, but the fans there know that and are willing to have two or three mediocre seasons if it leads to a good one every four years.

Can we change the header on this and just make it the coaching carousel thread?

Re: Wake forest
Orgeron has submitted his name for the FAU job according to sources. I honestly don't see a program that is going to go after Clawson, so BG may luck out this year.

Re: Wake forest
Orgeron should coach at Oregon, Christensen should coach at Notre Dame and English should coach at William and Mary.

Chuck Martin has taken the Miami job, he was the OC at Notre Dame.
