As of this morning, BGSU ticket office stated they are out their allotment of tickets.
Rep said they were allotted 3000. Now have to get them direct from Ford Field.
3000 seems like a low number

My thoughts exactly. Much easier and cheaper to work through the BG Ticket office. Lord know this won't be sold out.
I guess I'm not sure how it works with schools and the cheaper price, is that a BG offer, or something the MAC worked out with Ford Field?

3,000 is a ridiculously low ticket allotment for a school 90 minutes away. I figured BG would bring 8-10k people. Now, I don't expect more than 5 or 6k. Maybe.

Are we sure the 3K number isn't a student allotment?
That does seem strangely low for a neutral site game in a 60,000 seat stadium...

We called today to get 9 tickets, now they tell us to call Ford Field. $20 plus fee for each tickets.
This will make some fans decide not to go.

Wow...yeah, that's really unfortunate. I haven't ordered my tickets yet either. Now I have to pay like double? Damn...
Although is $20 a ticket really going to keep people from coming to the MAC Championship football game? That would be even more unfortunate. The players don't have any control over that and we are going to support them. I have seen all over social media this week, players who are begging for the fans to show up for them. If you can't spend $20 dollars a ticket for a Championship football game, you probably shouldn't be going anyway...
Roll Along! Go Falcons!

We will be there, however it could be the difference between 2 of us or taking the kids, Mom, brother etc, so its not just $20.

There are no printed tickets and you have to pick up all tickets from Will Call. That seems like a potential cluster if everyone is trying to enter around the same time and pick-up tickets at the windows. Would it be better to wait and buy at the door because the line at those windows will be much shorter?

My suspicion is that the reason the tickets through BG ticket office were half off the face value is that the BG atheltic department is eating that $10/ticket.
So it might not be a matter of the MAC or Ford Field releasing tickets for us to sell, it might actually be an issue of BG purchasing more tickets to sell at a discounted rate.

You can pick them up at the Stroh if you purchased through BG.

Yes this could be bad for some fans who expect to walk up to Will Call and stroll in. The ticket rep said the BG Will Call is at Gate C and will open at 5:30pm. I for one plan to be there right at 5:30 to grab tickets then head back to the Shillelagh! Maybe they'll consider opening Will Call earlier???

I'm sorry.
I wasn't speaking about you specifically. I was speaking, in general, if someone determines they don't want to spend $20/ticket I don't think they should come at all.
I just think it is a small price to pay for something like this, but that's me.

I'd bet BG brings more than 5-6k. I don't know if NIU announced if they sold out their ticket allotment the past 3 years, but they've brought anywhere between 5-8k the past few years. I expect around the 8k mark this year.
I'd also bet that even if they sold their allotment, that after the MAC pays itself, that a small portion of sales is divied up between the two schools.
Also, just for reference, the past 3 MACC had attendances of: 12,031 (2010), 13,052 (2011), and 18,132 (2012). With so much on the line for NIU, I expect their biggest crowd. With BG being so close, I'd like to think 20k can be achieved. We shall see Friday though.
