Not really surprising. He gets the senior love. Sadly, Johnson just isn't that flashy...yet. He's got two more years to vie for 1st team honors...he'll get his due.

I hear what you're saying...but it's a BS result. Johnson's QB rating is 2nd in the MAC, he took his team to a divisional title and he passed for about 500 more yds than Owens....who's team lost three games in the conference.

Going into next year...I think you have to peg Johnson as preseason 1st team all mac.

I thought Swan should've at least been 3rd team.

Bummer to see Greene end up on the 2nd team as well. I know both Fluellen and Oliver had great seasons as well, but still kinda stinks. The numbers are remarkably similar between the three backs.

Fluellen had about 300 yards less than Greene/Oliver but averaged the most per carry at 6.7...both he & Greene had 10 TDs.
Oliver and Greene had almost idential yardage totals (1422 vs 1421), with Green getting a big edge in ypc (5.0 vs 6.1) but Oliver had 15 TDs.

Crazy how similar the numbers are for the 3 backs. I find it somewhat odd that the one guy that is playing in the championship game is the odd man out, but I guess being the youngest of the bunch explains it.

Yeah, Oliver is the overrated one. Got a lot of yards due to heavy workload.

Based on his Twitter reaction I'd say our QB didn't take too kindly to the snub.

All that's left is for him to propel the Falcons to First-Team Team.

Not as bad as I thought it would be. Its not a bad thing if he's playing with another chip on his shoulder anyway.

Yeah...if you're a numbers guy, this isn't even a debate!

Rating, 153.8 to 132 - Johnson
Yards, 2802 to 2230 - Johnson
Conference Wins, 7 to 5 - Johnson
Completion Percentage, 63.2 to 60.1 - Johnson
Passing TD's, 18 each
Interceptions, 7 to 9 - Johnson
Sacks, 6 to 30 - Owens
Rushing TD's, 5 to 2 - Johnson
Rushing Yards, 235 to 164 - Johnson (But Owens led in per carry average)

Wow, the only thing in my mind that could have swayed towards Owens is the fact that Toledo beat BG at the Doyt, giving Owens the edge in head to head victory. Otherwise, the stats say Johnson all the way! Snubbed!

How is Fluellen 1st team over Greene? He had 9 carries in one game, 3 in another and he completely missed 3 games due to injury...I think preference should be given to a guy who played the whole season and racked up more yards

Fleullen is the best back in the MAC, when healthy, and I think he showed that this year even with limited game action. I have no issue with him. I think Greene was better than the Buffalo guy if anything.
