He's the head coach at Eastern Illinois. I think he could bring a good staff with him. He's done a great job at Eastern in a short time. They had Northern IL on the ropes this year and beat San Diego State on the road.

I think this is a great idea. I bet anyone that he is hired on December 18th 2013.

Stud was a disaster as an OC here and at LSU, IMO.

He is a guy that I could see as a potentially better HC than Coordinator.

He wouldn't be tops on my list, but he'd be somebody that I'd probably want to give a shout out to.

If we were a bad program I'd hire Babers tomorrow. We aren't.

Part of me would really love a Texas Tech style up tempo offense. Two names that I'd love to see tossed around though I know little about each right now. Phillip Montgomery (Baylor OC) and Neal Brown (Currently Kentucky OC, formerly Texas Tech OC). Are either ready to be head coaches? Dunno, I don't know much about either, but their resumes are both attractive.

The big thing for BG is going to be finding someone who wants a head job and who likely is okay with taking a pay cut if they're an assistant or coordinator at a P5 school. Most coordinators are making just as much cash at these schools as they would being a head coach at a mid-major program, so Kingston really has his work cut out for a guy that truly wants to become a head coach and who has a plan for the future of the program.

I thought Stud did a good job here as OC...when he had talent to work with. He definitely took a step back at LSU this year though by getting demoted to OL coach. He might have settled in down there

Babers makes $175 K, look at his résumé.

Coached at Baylor and several other school.

This would be quality minority hire. Not saying this is a must but it could be a plus.
