I'll keep an open mind and that's the most positive thing I can say . . . I'm not a fan of run and shoot and defense is something we do until we get the ball back

Re: Dino Babers
Two years at EIU was enough to put him in the saddle here?

I'm not sold yet.
In retrospect, maybe we now know why the guy pulled out of the EMU search. I'm guessing he got a call from BGSU.

One thing for sure, we are going to have some really fun offenses. Matt Johnson will thrive.

Re: Dino Babers
With a coach that has an offensive pedigree I really hope we don't fall back to the Brandon practice of all the best athletes going to the offensive side of the ball. I think that is something that really set Clawson's teams up for success was keeping some athletes on D.

Re: Dino Babers
Offense averaged 48.5 points a game this season. His QB this year won what is equivalent to the Heisman in FCS. 5,000+ yards and 53 TDs. He coached RG3 in college, other high profile assistant jobs such as UCLA, Pittsburgh, Texas A&M, Arizona, Arizona State, Purdue. Hell, at the very least I am excited to see our offense and what Matt Johnson does over the next two years.

his quarterback threw for over 5000 yards and 53 touchdowns this year. 53 f-ing touchdowns!

Re: Dino Babers
1) I am now REALLY hoping our basketball team hires Dino Gaudio as the next coach
2) We now have one of the best named head coaches in all of football
3) I hadn't given this guy a second thought before today, but after seeing how much his team straight dominated the competition this year (and gave NIU a hell of scare http://espn.go.com/college-football/tea ... s-panthers) I'm not opposed to this hire one bit. He's got a lot of weapons on offense and if he can bring in a good defensive coordinator, this is going to be one of the most fun teams we've had to watch in a long long time.
