Slipped to 13th, behind OU in 12th...Buffalo in top 20 too.

Now trails both OU and Buffalo....not sure of what the TOTAL votes are, but it'd be nice to pick up some bucks for BG with daily votes.

Multi-billion dollar TV deals and the NCAA throws a couple hundred grand of crumbs on the ground for fans to scurry like pidgeons to lap up.

We've slipped out of the top group now...I don't mind "scurrying" for a couple hundred grand... it takes very little time, can't hurt to vote.... MOST of the higher ranking schools right now are some lesser knowns.

The release says the money (as noted, a pittance in the grand scheme of things) will go to the general scholarship funds of the respective schools. This would make much more sense if it went directly to the student fan organizations themselves (Fanatics, Bleacher Creatures, etc.) rather than lumped into a generic blob. They have been the ones driving this (with another 30 days still to go, ugh) and it's only right that they get rewarded for their efforts.

As of 1:30am on the 19th, BG sits in 13th place.... (and yes, I AM on the computer now after coming home from a friend's movie nite)
