Thanks to Coaches Clawson and Ruggerio for their continued support of Falcon football!

WF may soon wish they could have Matt Campbell too. DC had a piss poor record vs. soupy and Toledo.

I think Clawson is happy as hell with two things Matt Campbell doesn't have...a seven figure salary and a MAC title.

Have a chance to win MAC title(s) and get drafted in the 1st round like previous MAC lineman OR play for one of the "other schools" in the Big Ten that get kicked regularly by the upper teams and possibly by upper level MAC schools while getting no more attention from NFL scouts than the best MAC lineman. Dumb HS mistake. Hard to turn down a Big Ten offer. CAn't blame him. People dream of playing and coaching in the Big Ten. The kid probably doesn't care much about the MACC game and has probably watched more Big Ten football than MAC football. When it comes down to it they usually beat us recruiting. Ultimately the kids look at the Big Ten as a better deal...aahh, sort of like DC getting the hell out...he got a better deal elsewhere.

Stealing recruits from Toledo isn't getting them any closer to Florida State and Clemson. if anything it's prolonging the process.
Clawson's only hope is to eke out a couple 6-6, 7-5 seasons in the next couple years and hope that convinces a respectable BCS program to consider him a poor man's James Franklin and give him a shot. Realistically they're not getting anywhere above that.

I actually disagree with you here mscarn. WF isn't going to be a 10 win team year after year but they have a lot of money to put into the program and facilities that are just as good or better almost any school in the ACC. I think Clawson will have Wake in an ACC championship game in the next four years. But then yes he'll be off to a big time BCS program.
