Way too early bowl predictions for 2014

Yeah it's kinda silly to see this stuff this early, but it's still fun to take a look at during the off-season to bridge the gap over the next seven months until the 2014 season begins. The one thing I love out of the bowl lineup is that the MAC has five tie-ins in 2014. I fully expect BG to compete for the MAC Championship again (I'm picking BG from the East and Toledo from the West) and to make another bowl game (time for us to win one!) again next season. This site has BG, Toledo, NIU, Ohio and Akron making bowls from the MAC:

I'd swap Ball State for NIU (and possibly Toledo) and Buffalo for Ohio. The pendulum seems to be swinging back to the MAC East as the stronger division top to bottom.

Nice lineup, but I am going to really going to miss our Detroit bowl game. I had 15 people with me at that game. I doubt more than one of them would follow me to Alabama, much less the Bahamas.

Also, the second choice team gets to freeze outdoors on the blue turf of Boise. The last choice goes to either Boca Raton or the Bahamas.
Doesn't quite seem fair, does it?

I was kinda thinking the same thing. If I am a player, I want to play in the Bahamas or Boca Raton over Boise in December. It's almost going to be a reward for those teams to go there despite being picked over by other teams. FAU's new stadium is fantastic! I would love to have something like that at BG. I saw the soccer facility in the Bahamas they will use and it's modest but seem nice, but hell, you're playing your postseason in the Bahamas. I know it makes it hard for fans and family it get there, but for the players, that's gonna be sweet for them.

One Corrado 'Junior' Soprano would prefer Boca but someone might end up taking a pie to the face.
In all seriousness, what is the appeal of Boise? I've heard the people are great and the giftbags are superb. Is that enough to overcome a freezing location where travel is so cost prohibative for the fans?
