Signing Day
Signing Day
Dino Babers himself will host a press conference to announce the 2014 Signing Class at 2 p.m. ET. The event can be streamed live, free of charge, on BGSUFalcons.com. The MAC Champions will also host a live blog all day to update fans on signings and provide information on the new players. The Falcons, being the fun bunch they are, don't appear to be hosting any sort of fan celebration. =( Either way the Falcons will be engaging fans all day on Twitter via @BGFalconFootbal (the one L is intentional. Don't ask).

Re: Signing Day
Season ticket holders or Falcon Club members (not sure which is the reason) got an invitation to The Clazel for a reception at 6:00 I believe. Received an invitation about 2 weeks ago, needed to RSVP by Monday. I don't know how fun it will be but I'm sure they will at least attempt to be fun.
I proudly chose to be a Falcon and a Falcon I will remain until the end.

Re: Signing Day
That invite was sent to me , I think, as a season ticket holder.( could have been F C ) . Mike and I went 2 yrs ago, had a good time seeing hi liters, talking to coaches etc.
This starts at 5:30 , ends at 7. They suggest going to the Stroh for WBB game after. Sounds as if this will be more " low key" than previous affairs.

Re: Signing Day
Coach Monroe said on twitter that all (17?) LOIs were in by 9:15 AM . . . Not much drama by the Falcons today, which is good
It would've been nice for Coach Babers to have a complete class of 25 or so, especially bringing in a new offense, but what a lower number means is that we have a LOT coming back!
Rivals has Cincinnati strong safety Nilijah Ballew at 4 stars 6-1/199 choosing BG over Indiana and Purdue. Once a Louisville commit under Charlie Strong
Cody Callaway, QB, was mentioned as receiving offers from Rutgers and another BCS program as well, but honoring his BG commitment
Very solid class

Re: Signing Day
Not a huge class, but it does appear to address the immediate needs.

Re: Signing Day
Any word of when the spring game is? That is what we have to look forward to between now and the season kickoff.

Re: Signing Day
I think the interesting part about BG's group is showing only 2 three star kids.... seems as if when you verbal to BG your ratings go down.... Lewis is perhaps the best example of this... And I'd like to know what the heck WMU is doing to get so many highly rated kids into a program that's been pretty mediocre for the past several years... unless they're also part of the sport of crew.... (think that one thru guys!)

Re: Signing Day
Not sure where you're getting BG with 2 three start kids....we have 4 rated *** and one rated **** by at least one of the recruiting sites and we have a transfer QB who was **** out of HS in 2012.
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
Re: Signing Day
WMU class is surprising to me. Don't know how they pulled that off.
