Another Directional Michigan U adding some "new traditions?" Seems like Captain PJ Fleck of the USS Kalamazoo has created the model for all the DMUs to follow.
Watch out Central and Northern: you're next...

Interesting color choice for a stadium that Gregg Brandon once likened to a prison....

I heard the NCAA forced them to change their turf color because opposing teams complained when they wore green on green uniforms they blended in with the field giving them an unfair advantage.

Will the same apply to Michigan State, South Florida, and North Texas?

This confuses me because I though the NCAA enacted a rule preventing FBS teams from having non-green fields (Boise the exception since they already had it)

This was a tongue-in-cheek post referencing the morons that think Boise State has an unfair advantage when wearing all blue on an all blue turf field. Because when I heard WAC/NCAA made a rule outlawing Boise from wearing blue on blue on the blue I immediately thought of EMU, MSU et al.

Continuing with the drab industrial theme, their new coach has taken to calling the place "the factory." The installation of smoke stacks can't be far behind.

That would make it the only open factory on the eastern side of the state.

I haven't seen Rynearson Stadium in years; if memory serves, it is depressingly grey already.
This strikes me as a clever gambit to take a negative (all that grey) and try to turn it into a positive. I like it.
Hopefully, this means the Falcons can stop wearing grey now. EMU has claimed the color, and it clashes with brown, so we can cut it out as far as I'm concerned.
