The defensive scheme is pathetic. They keep playing 10-15 yards off WKU's receivers. Hell, I could make those throws and the receivers would be getting big yardage. I guess we have no faith in the defensive backs playing press coverage.

As for the offense...P-U

How about we try NOT running the same play up the middle on first down, every series, or maybe even try some passing on second down, too. As for "Falcon Fast" -- it doesn't mean squat if you're making all kinds of mistakes.

Guess what Coach? If your team can't handle the speed without screwing up; slow things down.

We know they can play well coming out of a huddle. We saw them win 10 games doing it last year.

Think about this. I haven't been this disappointed in a first half of a BG football game since the Fresno State, Raisin Bowl disaster of 1985.

Agreed! This debacle is on the coaching staff. Plain and simple! Dino, You inherited one of the best defenses in the country and it gives up 59 points in the opener. Wipe the smile off your face and coach. A player is ejected and you smile. Please explain. You have been more than happy to tout "falcon fast". What do you say now?

NY, it wasn't that we lost. It was the way it happened. I don't know what game you watched but I saw us give up more points and yards than the last FOUR games of 2013....combined. Lack of effort, undisciplined play and lack of tackling are extremely alarming. Yeah, it was one game. IF we struggle with VMI, ugh.

Freak, exactly. Reasonable fans can accept a loss in a competitive game
( Bowl game vs Pitt in December for example). But Babers was handed the keys to a Rolls Royce and his coaching staff drove out a Yugo! There is more talent on this team than perhaps I've ever seen. And my experience with BG football goes back to 1980. And the Babers staff gets this performance out of theses players? No Excuses coaching staff!!!! NONE!

Comparing this to Brandon isn't even fair IMO. GB was spoon fed a good team and went 11-3, losing three games to top ten teams. Babers was spoon fed a good team and just got blown out by WKU. 1-3 starts looks likely.
