Not to be nitpicky but this must be said. Anyone notice the referee screw up. With :20 remaining VMI snapped the ball at the 21 yard line. Pass interference on BG in the end zone. The refs placed the ball at the 2 yard line. Hey zebras!!! This isn't the NFL. It's a 15 yard penalty. Ball should been placed at the 6 yard line.

I think if it's in the endzone it's a 1st and goal at the 2....

The ball was snapped at the 21. In college a pass interference penalty at most is a 15 yard penalty. If the ball was snapped at mid field and a penalty occurred in the end zone the ball would be spotted at the 35 not the 2. The refs messed up. This time it didn't cost us but next time it could.

Now if the ball was snapped within the 15 yard line then yes it is spotted at the 2 but this case the ball was snapped at the 21 therefore the ball should been spotted at the 6.

I'm going to take your word for it...because I'm too lazy to look it up.

Officials get bitched about even when they get it right.

The bigger screw up was the spot after a VMI punt. A player on the BG sideline caught the ball out of bounds at around the BG 46, so give or take it crossed out of bounds around the 50. They spotted it, inside the BG 40. It of course didn't matter, but it was beyond bad.

Of course the ref who spotted it may have been the one who got hit with a pass later in the game.

They also screw up every time they delay the game to "review" every third call on the field and somehow can't come to a resolution while 25 replays are shown on TV while they decide. It's given us no discernible improvement in the quality of refereeing but has given fans more commercials, stoppages and 4+ hour games.
