Goes from getting an extension to losing to EMU and getting fired in 8 months.

A bit of an overreaction I think. EMU has a hot new coach, UB is down their great running back and receiver from last year. Quinn had them pointed squarely in the right direction, but sometimes you have to take a step back. I thoroughly 100% disagree with this call and think Quinn would have kept them pointed in the right direction had UB kept him around.

Looks like their athletic director is being really aggressive, getting Bulls games on the radio throughout the state. That's kind of a big deal; there are huge portions of New York that do not care about Bulls football, and that especially includes New York City.

Honestly, I wouldn't rule out that Buffalo becomes equals with Syracuse someday. Why not?

Also, I would guess that this New York State marketing focus kind of rules out an idea I've always had, which is for the MAC to bring in Albany or Stony Brook. I would guess that Buffalo would strongly oppose that.

They are already a top 50 public university with an endowment of over 550 million and an undergrad enrollment of almost 20,000. Their athletics are just not very good.

It's always surprised me they don't sponsor a hockey team.

Buffalo football has in fact beaten Syracuse in football. The last time UB won against Cuse was ... and I'm not kidding here ... 1899!!

One more potential landing spot for Hoke or Muschamp. Hopefully tubby. He can come back to MAC going full circle.
