For once, one failed me

A disposable camera that is. Got the photos from Mobile last night and was disappointed that so many turned out so dark. I've used disposables in the past in similar situations and the pix came out OK; not to be this time, though. Anyway, I'll be hitting the scanner over the weekend and will post a few.

I've had that experience so many times I cracked down and asked for a digital camera for Christmas.
Too bad I didn't get it in time for the game.

Saxy: Our family has broken and lost so many "real" cameras that I just can't justify buying a digital.
I had a few nice pix of Noah near the band at the pep rally, too.
Of course, the two pix of us in the stands turned out.

The flashes on disposable camera only pick up from about 4' - 10' at max...the 10 is even stretching it. During night games, the only available light does not have enough time to hit the film because of the consistent quicker shutter speed so most pictures will be dark as heck. Next time I'll get you a press pass and get you right down on the field

'87, it could be the processing. Take them back to the store and have them reprocessed.
There are four steps to the film equation (relax Hammb, some people still use film
) Film, Camera, Photographer, Processing. Most people blame one of the first three for bad prints, when in reality processing is the thing that is screwed up most often.
This assumes you didn't buy some re-loaded, knock-off, single use camera at the dollar store.

I bought one of those "high definition" disposables to try one time and just got the negatives back to scan in myself...boy did those turn out dark. Sure it could have been the processing, but the only thing anyone could do about that is to have it developed somewhere else next time. Who knows with those flim in a box things though!
