Saw a pic on Twitter, looks like throwback LT Falcon helmets for Saturday vs WMU.

That would be AWESOME!!! Any word on brown jerseys?

Those are nice. I hope Nike brings us back those helmets and gives us brown jerseys too.

I didn't notice this until just now, but when we played Buffalo a few weeks ago our white helmet actually had a white facemask. We have had a brown face mask the last few years for both the white and brown helmets.

I miss brown. I mean, our hockey team looks spectacular in those tootsie roll sweaters. If it was up to me, the football team would wear brown at home pretty much all the time.

That said, I'm really happy with the current logo.

BGSU isn't going back to the old logo full-time for the helmets, and you can bet that Nike will have us in some funky-looking threads every now and then.

But the guys I've talked to sincerely hope that we'll at least get these helmets once a year going forward, particularly if a brown throwback jersey is involved.

As it is, the look with the throwback helmets today is fantastic. And it makes WMU's already-horrible uniforms look even worse.

I always loved those helmets! They were very unique. I never bought the criticism that nobody could figure out what it was.

WMU's helmets are a little weird, but I like their uniforms. They wear brown. They embrace the color the way we should in Bowling Green.

The bookstore has the old logo swag available. I've grown to enjoy the peak-a-boo logo but the LT logo is, by far, my favorite logo of any sports franchise at any time.

It was minimalistic, clean, and classy.

I like LT with he white fill on the helmet...

The game was a loss, but those helmets looked fantastic.

Granted, I'm biased.
