Defense wasn't the problem, in fact it actually looked pretty good today. BGSU's offense is what surprised me. I didn't think WMU would be able to hold a team like BGSU scoreless in the 2nd half (although to be fair WMU shut out Toledo in the 1st half of that game as well).

Good game though, and good luck the rest of the way.

He lives in Perrysburg and shops at the same grocery store, Churchhills, as I do. Three of his players work for my friend's company in the summer time. Talked to them multiple times and joke around about the rivalry. Coach Campbell is a great guy and said straight up Babers is a mess. The players have very little respect for BG. Coach Campbell had great respect for Clawson and felt very fortunate to beat BG last year. Said flat out they were lucky. When we lost Johnson , he said that was the end of our season. Thinks Babers is arrogant and very undisciplined in his approach and preparation. Jokingly said he wouldn't pile it on, but couldn't wait for the game to be played. Very confident in an easy win.

I've met many coaches/players in my life and never once have they bad mouthed anyone. If Campbell indeed said that, which I highly doubt, then he's almost as big of an a-hole as you are.

I think you are using this forum as an opportunity to help him recruit, or something. And I don't appreciate that.

I have to agree. I find it difficult to picture Campbell confiding to his wife with this amount of swagger against other coaches/programs - especially being a disciple of Kehres.

Who the hell gives a rat's ass about the Toledo game right now?! We have much bigger problems to worry about - like ourselves. On top of that, we have a much more important game up next against Akron. I expect to lose to Toledo again. We have four years in a row and I don't see that changing again this season. We lost to them last year and it didn't matter because we took care of business against the rest of the MAC. But it's games like today's second half vs WMU that could come back to bite us in the ass.

I thought we forfeited the season after the Wisconsin drubbing?

My cousin works on Matt Campbell's car and last time he had an oil change said that if he lost to Wisconsin that badly he'd have just given up the whole season at that point. He also said if Mike Ward was hired hed have been happier but happiest if Dino Dawson was hired. Matt Campbell says we hired the wrong the Dino.

Campbell doesn't need to say anything at all. His team beats ours and actions speak way louder than words do. If we continue to lose to UT we might want to consider ending our scheduling clause to play them every year. It's currently doing us no favors. I'd rather take my chances with someone else and face them on a normal rotation than to lose to them as we have been doing so much anymore.

That is exactly what I was thinking. Dr. Falcon sounds like a pot stirrer, but his observations make sense. I'm not diving off the bandwagon by any sense, but I am greatly disappointed in our performance against Western and can envision another similar poor performance against UT.
