Baylor runs their offense better than we did this year..... :-)

Yet Art Briles still can't win a big game.

Baylor's system puts defense in difficult spot... No prob. If off. Is clicking, but def is on field way too long...wears them out, when off. Isnt doing a good job.

Mark Dantonio's coaching also put the Baylor's system in a difficult spot. He outcoached both Briles and never panicked. Was aggressive when he had to be and conservative when needed. A great game though. It's nice to see a little bit of the old school football be successful though MSU is a hybrid when they have to be.

I loved those Baylor helmets though.

How was that not a personal foul? The hit is clearly to the head.

Hit to the head, sure looked like he launched into the hit... seemed like textbook targeting to me. Can only assume the referees were caught up in the change of possession and may not have been in their usual spots since it was a FG block. But players have been ejected for targeting for much less than that, IMO.

Going to be a very interesting few years here in the Midwest. Meyer and Dantonio have built teams that don't look like the stereotypical plodding B1G teams....OSU looked more athletic than 'Bama and MSU more than kept up with Baylor. Brian Kelley has put together a few pretty good classes at Notre Dame. Harbaugh's taking over at Michigan and seems to be putting together a heck of a staff ( DC Mattison will stay on under Durkin as a position coach) and he's already got some high profile recruits looking to visit AA (including Snoop Dogg's kid) . The SEC is overrated....the Midwest is the true power region!

So nice to shut up all these SEC people down here for at least a year. They can't believe the SEC west isn't half as good as they thought it was. The truth is there is not much difference between all these conferences. I believed any team in the top 6 was capable of winning the playoff. Yeah FSU got waxed but they were right there until they started putting the ball on the ground.

It's football.

The best team doesn't always win. Look at the NFL which has had a playoff forever...how often does the truly best team end up winning the super bowl? Probably less than half the time would be my guess.

That's a good argument for why all conference champs should be given a shot.

The SEC was overrated, as they often are. It's been the best football conference in the country for the past 10-15 years or so, but that doesn't mean that there aren't good teams from other conferences that can compete with them.
