At the corner of Poe and Mercer

Talking with Falcon fans that have been around BG athletics since the 50s, an interesting topic came up: The athletic fields and buildings.
According the older guys, the following was on the blueprint at one time
The SW corner of Poe and Mercer was the original proposed site for future football stadium and basketball arena with duo parking spaces.
The golf course was configured to start where it is now and stretch out past I 75 and then back.
The city became involved and interjected the foot traffic through the cemetery on game day would led to some problems.
I 75 became a reality and Forrest Creason became what it is today.
