I see Michigan State will be in Kalamazoo for an early September match up; could set the MAC home attendance record as Waldo can accommodate around 35,000.

Interesting article in this week's Sports Illustrated on PJ Fleck with a mention of BG as well:
http://www.si.com/college-football/2015 ... recruiting" target="_blank
"Fleck remembers coach Joe Novak’s speech before Northern Illinois beat No. 20 Bowling Green in 2002. Novak fired up the team by singling out the opponent’s cocksure young coach: “Who does he think he is?” Novak asked. He was Urban Meyer, who was making few friends while tearing up the MAC. Fleck realizes his slogans, style and recent success have made him similarly divisive. He has the highest salary in MAC history ($800,000) and brings back a team on which freshmen and sophomores played 80 percent of the snaps. “Now, I’m that guy,” he says. “Here’s the thing about me, you either really like me or hate me. There is no in between.” "

I would be nice, for a change, to see PJ Fleck take his 800,000k and set up house in Kalamazoo. Stay for 15 years and really build a solid program competing not only for bragging rights in Michigan but also on a national level. He seems to have the right set of skills to pull it off.

SI comparing PJ Fleck to Urban Meyer? Where's Lloyd Bentsen when you need him?

No thanks. I'll be fine if he's gone after one more year. Why should any other program (other than BG) have stability like that? I don't root for the conference over my school. If something is a very real threat to BG's chances of getting more MAC titles, then I don't want them staying.
The MAC is what it is: a mid major conference. Teams can have great seasons now and again, and get ratings and notoriety for the league -- but I'd prefer BG do it more than anyone else.
I'm selfish that way.
