A message to Craig James and ...

other ex-jocks masquerading as TV commentators.

When you are interviewing somebody, ask questions. Does that seem too simple, too rudimentary? Apparently not, because practically every time I've seen you and your peers during the bowl season, their interviews consist of you making statements and waiting for the interviewee to respond. You know, things like, "Coach, that Reggie Bush is a real dual threat."

The key to interviews, you blathering egomaniacs, is to draw out insight from the interviewee, not attempt to impress the interviewee and the viewing audience with your incredible knowledge of the subject. You get plenty of air time to let everyone know what you think.

Morons.

I don't watch the interviews, just the game. After a while the interviews are all the same no matter who they're interviewing. Especially sickening (and predictable) are the "Grab the coach" interviews as the coach leaves the field for halftime. Enough, already!

I don't read Playboy for the interviews, I read it for the pictures.

(In case my wife is reading this, I don't read it at all...I'm just saying this because it fits the conversation)

Craig James gives no love to the mid-majors, however he is a major tool.

You have to admit Todd Harris's sideline interview with Shaq was groundbreaking.

Harris:"Do you think USC is loaded?"

Shaq:"Yeah, they have some great athletes."

I can sleep peacefully having heard that.

Yeah, what was up with that? As if having the national championship game isn't enough.
