Bowling Green vs Tennessee - Game Week - Finally!

Post by Falcon137 »

Some notes from today's media...

Butch Jones -

JONES: "They have explosive playmakers on special teams. We must continue to elevate our play on special teams."

JONES: "They have a very, very good returning quarterback. An NFL quarterback."

https://twitter.com/Vol_Football/status ... 6014682112" target="_blank

Babers -

Babers said Tennessee's young defensive ends are very fast, huge and athletic. This is new territory for us.

Will be interested to see BG's updated depth chart.

Babers press conference was this morning as well, will need to wait for the athletic website to post the full video. He did mention that the confidence level of the group has grown throughout camp.

Yes. After suffering through months of the questionable drama called Deflategate, I think we all could use some really good college football right about now---and thank goodness our mutual wait is about over.

We are kinda big on defense. I cannot recall if it is offensive or defense, but some new guy Tennessee recruited is supposedly a monster. I read an article about him a couple of weeks ago---sounds like Ed "Too Tall" Jones Part II. My guess is that he is too young and inexperienced to put on the field this year.

BG has listed their game notes. Which includes the 2 deep.

Robbie Rhodes is listed as Ronnie Moore's backup. Meaning we likely get our first look at the Baylor transfer. The receiver 2 deep is ridiculous.

Malik Brown, not listed on the depth chart. Baird and Bush listed as starters along with, Colvin and Royster up front.

We should get a good look at Rhodes, since Moore has to sit out the first half.
