Couple interesting tidbits:
MJ had to re-learn how to walk and spent 13 weeks on crutches. Amazing he was able to recover as quickly as he did considering nearly 30% of his recovery time was spent not being able to walk. Of note, he has not taken a hit in camp and his first contact will come in the Tennessee game.
Zach Colvin figures to be an impact player after missing last year to an undisclosed injury/illness.
Babers said that the Vols are the best team BG will have played in his tenure and recognizes the challenge that lies ahead. However, he feels the team is more confident this year than at this time last year which could translate to more positive results.

I don't know about that jpFalcon09. Problem is, if the Tennessee linebackers penetrate the BGSU defensive line, they hit quarterbacks hard in the backfield. If my son had had an injury as bad as the one MJ had, I would be uneasy about him being back there---no matter how well he feels:

This is really not rocket science. They want to keep our offense off the field. Their smallest lineman is nearly 300 pounds (and only one below 300 by like 2 pounds). Their back is 240. We have a 250 pound defensive tackle. If they do not run all day they are stupid. If they pass more than 15 times in this game I will be surprised.

yep thats what im thinking and it looks like they have switched up their OL a bit and all 5 are over 300lbs now. three of the 5 are 315lbs and up. Their center was their smallest starter (293lbs) and hes now listed as back up. The new center is even 301lbs. Had their starting Guard not have gotten hurt in camp they would have 4 of the 5 starters over 315lbs. Their first 3 running backs weigh 240, 215, 212. Word coming out of their camp is they will be run heavy out of that spread this yr But still will utilize their enormous WRs because they have several. This will be a problem in the second half and as the game goes on late in the 1st half. IMO. Sometimes our type of offense does no favors for your own defense.

The redundant department of redundancy would like a word with you.

Next week Maryland will be the best team BG has played under Babers. The guy hedges his bets better than anyone I've ever seen. "We're good, but,if someone gets hurt we're in trouble." "Our offense won't be really good until we get past the toughest games on our schedule." He will openly tell anyone that this team is 1 injury away from devastation (he did the same last year) but won't give you a straight answer on who a backup linebacker will be.
Team is more confident this year...but last year, they were over confident going into the first game.
It will be interesting to see how Johnson reacts to the first free rusher he sees. That is quite the rehab and recovery he went through.

Babers has hinted repeatedly that the team is very thin in places, but I'm not sure what he means. Linebackers?

Most likely. Ballew has been moved around between the secondary and LB corps and he hardly has the size to play LB at the FBS level.

A slight jab at all the posts about the D size, nothing directed at you personally.

Without significant improvement, Maryland may only win 3-4 games this year. They will be facing better Michigan and Penn State teams. I will be pulling for you guys to win the rest of your games (except Memphis, sorry lol).
And I think your talented QB will get quite the tune up versus our pass rush. Our DEs will likely be the best you face this year, and while it may not help you in our game, I can imagine moving forward, Johnson will have a much easier time readjusting and succeeding against other teams down the stretch.

Ha I know I was kidding.
