He signed recently with Jeff Flanagan of BTI, whose clients include Khary Campbell, a Washington Redskins linebacker and former Bowling Green teammate.

Khary's agent, very cool. :D

Azzani, a fourth-year member of the Bowling Green coaching staff, said Monday from Miami, Fla., during a break in a recruiting trip.

Wow! Miami, Fl. for recruiting, thats pretty cool to see we have grown that far to be able to recruit in Miami.

We've actually got a fair pipeline going. Omar is from near West Palm, I think.

I remember that play the article mentions. On a different thread we were all talking about the de-cleater Omar did on a scramble during that crucial drive, and a play or two later was this recption of Magner's...a very audible hit with #21 dishing the punishment....Alaskans don't need no stinking helmets on that one!

Hey keep watchng that drive for the adjustment to the Memphis Blitz that Stud makes.....TB delay, and once blitz wave has past, catch a lob for an untouched 10-15 yard TD pass....hell no one was within 20 yards of him after they sent the house.

Can someone do a screen shot of their Def Coach Joe Lee Dunn kneeling on the ground holding his head....I think we would all love to see that. I can respond with approx time during the game where it can be found.

Oh that shot of Lee Dunn with his head held low is priceless...the announcing crew kept talking about what a great coach he is as BG rolled up huge numbers and points.

How can Cole sign with an agent if he is still in college. I thought that was a violation, especially if he signed before the bowl game.

Because he's no longer a student-athlete, he's just a student now and soon to be just an athlete.

Looks like we're close to landing an OLB with 4.5 speed from New Orleans, LA. I think that coach Joseph is working that state.

Outstanding news. I think we will all be pleasantly surprised by the picks we get this year, even falconboy. Can't wait to see them all.

Isnt Cole playing in a college senior All Star game. I thought I read that somewhere. If so, he is still a college athlete.

If he is in an all star game it is likely he will receive compensation for that as all participants would. Since his eligibility has expired he is no longer bound by the rules of players with remaining eligibility.

I would love to see him get a legitimate shot in the NFL and I'm sure he will. His lack of outstanding speed will hurt him but his productivity will be an asset. He had some of his best games against BCS schools like Purdue, Northwestern and Ohio State. Like so many cases a lot depends upon where he gets his opportunity. I wish him the best.

I'm not sure if they receive compensation, but the Senior Bowl is run by the NFL. The top NFL draft prospects (of seniors) are put onto North and South teams that are coached by the coaching staffs of two National Football League teams (this year Raiders and Bucs). Technically, these players are not consider collegiate athletes anymore. As of now, no BG players have been announced for this game ( http://www.seniorbowl.com/2005/ ). Mruczkowski is the only one in a post-season game thus far, the East West Shrine Game.

Right. The All-star games are NOT college games. That is why only seniors can play in them. Players can sign with an agent immediately following their final game. In fact, at several bowl games I heard announcers alluding to players meeting with agents after the bowl game.
