1. That QB and WR corps may be the best we play all year. I'm serious. You guys have something in Johnson and that group.
2. Good to see the Vols' O-line play the way they did. We struggled badly last year; no matter who the opponent. I think BG was just out manned on the line.
3. BG has some things to fix on the punt coverage side of things. Your kickers looked very good though minus the one block.
4. Missed PI call in the endzone, but thank goodness it happened.
5. I'm glad Tenn ran the ball the way we did because if not, that one would have gone ALL the way to the wire.
6. Love the fire of Dino on the sidelines. Bad time for a 15 yard penalty but sometimes your team needs to see you have their back.
7. I have a lot of respect for BG and think you guys should have a hell of a season. Good luck and win the MAC!

I agree on most of your points and I hope UT goes on to have a great year.OrangeHammer wrote:1. That QB and WR corps may be the best we play all year. I'm serious. You guys have something in Johnson and that group.

I second that motion on having a lot of respect for BG and on them having a hell of a season. Your offensive team was impressive--especially the passing game. Penalties, field position as a function of the kicking game, and small mistakes really hurt your team today. Both the Tennessee and BG defenses sucked the big one---let's face it. Tennessee needs to fire the field goal kicker. Both teams have major work to do on defense to patch up the holes. Overall, I thought it was a good game that was worth the ticket price. BG was very impressive in the first half---and we Tennessee fans were doing significant nail biting by the time the storm call was initiated. Causing SEC school fans to do significant nail biting is a sign that your team owns a great deal of college football MOJO. If you guys can get your defense into better shape...well...I pitty those other teams in your conference this year.
Enjoyed it. Best of luck to all you BG fans and your team.

Well, somebody had to do something to get H2Oville out of hibernation!

For my $.02...
Yes, I was impressed by Johnson's poise and awareness. He had great pocket presence and puts the ball on the money. What impressed me most (and makes me believe that BGSU will have a successful season going forward) was the offensive line play. It was obvious that there was a lot of time spent as a unit with that group. UT couldn't get any significant (consistent) pressure in the middle, and the tackles held out the ends of the pocket long enough for Johnson to find his target and deliver the ball.
Hard to believe that Johnson has had a year of rust to shake off. When this offensive unit gets completely in sync (I really think they can even be more effective than they were on Saturday)...lookout.
Best of luck the rest of the season. I'll be paying special attention to you guys as you run through the MAC.
