Question about the scoring from last week...
Did you simply not award the points any assigned to that game (8, 12, whatever) by an individual entry, or did you scale down all the games to go from 1-11?

I removed the game entirely including the amount of points that were assigned by each player. I had calculated both scenarios and more players benefit from the method I chose than the other way around.

My most confident pick was that Toledo would beat Stony Brook. I had all my other picks right, but I'm still trailing in the standings because of the confidence I had in Toledo winning.
If I was managing this pool, I would have given everyone points for the Toledo game no matter what. Seems to me that way no one would get hurt. But I'm not running the pool.
Oh well.
I guess, in the future, we need to evaluate the chance the game will actually be played in factoring our picks. I must admit that I was not considering the possibility of a lightning storm in Toledo, Ohio, when I filed my picks several days before kickoff.

I will go back and give awarded points for the Toledo game. This policy will be followed in the future as well, this is likely the fairest way to do things. My apologies.

13. Texas A&M over Ball State. No real contest here.
12. Arkansas over UT. Physical blowout coming in this one.
11. Wisconsin over MU. I don't think this one will be close at all.
10. CMU over Monmouth. CMU played tough last week. I like their new coach a lot.
9. NIU over Murray State. NIU looks good.
8. Kent State over Delaware State. KSU was hammered by an OK Illinois team. We'll learn a bit more about KSU this week. If they struggle, they're in for a long season.
7. Pittsburgh over Akron. The atmosphere will be electric and Akron will play well but they won't pull another upset in the series.
6. Penn State over Buffalo. Penn State lost ugly to Temple last week and it was not fluke. Temple is really good. Buffalo will play well but not happening.
5. Western Michigan over Georgia Southern. Good to catch Georgia Southern this year in a building year. Those guys are a program on the rise.
4. Ohio over Marshall. I'm thinking Marshall is overall more talented but is a bit young and Ohio is more veteran this year. Could be a good game.
3. UMass over Colorado. Low confidence pick here but I think it happens with UMass passing offense. If we played Colorado, we'd blow them out of the park.
2. Bowling Green over Maryland. While I am concerned about Maryland's O line and special teams, I think we can keep pace with these guys. BG wins a tight game that is still in question up to the 4th quarter.
1. Wyoming over Eastern Michigan. Might be an ugly game on both parts.
