I love the brown helmets. Not sure I am digging these unis though. Kind of has a generic look, since we aren't using the BG font anywhere.

FWIW, the BG football Twitter account is taking votes on what the team will wear each week. They've already decided on white jerseys for Maryland.

The jerseys are something different but so far I like them...although I agree the font looks pretty generic.

So just the jerseys get voted on and not the helmets or pants? I really liked the helmets from last week. With all the different possible combinations, I just hope they change it up and don't wear the same thing twice.

You've got it backwards. The jerseys have to be white since we are the road team. They are asking for us to vote on what pants and helmets to wear.

Jersey have to be white for away. You can vote for which helmet and pants to go with the white. I'd like to see orange white orange. Brown White Brown maybe too.

I agree. If i could change one thing, I'd get rid of the "FALCONS" down the side of the pants. If I could change a second thing, I'd tweak the "Bowling Green" font across the front. It doesn't seem to match everything else the program is doing. (Maybe we will get used to it, though.)

Overall, I think they've done a good job. I really like the brown helmets.

I was told by a reliable source that the department isn't taking votes on Twitter. That tweet was to drum up interest for the game.

This is not entirely true. For the most part yes, road teams wear white jerseys, but not in all cases. I'm too lazy to look it up but several years ago the NCAA okayed both home and away teams to wear colored jerseys with a few stipulations - such as the jerseys must not be similar in color to each other and the home team has to agree to it (something along those lines). The very first game of the season this year had North Carolina (light blue) and South Carolina (garnett) wearing "home" jerseys. If you recall last year in Bowling Green's game at Toledo, BG wore all orange (jerseys, pants and helmets) at the Glass Bowl while Toledo wore blue helmets, grey jerseys and blue pants. USC and UCLA often both wear colored jerseys for their games now too. Then of course, you have teams such as LSU that often wear their white jerseys at home all the time, thus the away teams wear their home jerseys in Baton Rouge. So there are exceptions to road teams wearing white.
