Maybe a little juice to fuel our defense. I saw this quote in the paper this morning:

“I hate Bowling Green,” Buffalo running back Anthone Taylor told the Buffalo News on Tuesday. “Can I just leave it at that?”

Wonder why?

Freshman L - 21-7
Sophomore L - 24-7
Junior L - 36-35

Interesting, not sure it's really the right move to make to call out a team you haven't defeated in the past three years, but I suspect he's trying to fire up his team a little. I can't remember if there's been any animosity between both teams recently.

And we are not very fond of you, either....a good # of your fans are aholes.

This is actually a pretty good rivalry over the last 5-10 years....

I said in my game preview that this is my favorite east rivalry because so many games are such fun. But there's not supposed to be hatred or animosity towards each other. It should be a respect and a desire for another fun game in the books.

I gotta say, I'm a bit disappointed in these comments. I hope our guys are above it and I hope the other UB players are above it.

I consider any "rivalry" in which you are 8-2 in the last decade to be a pretty good one.

The loss to UB in 2008 when we were up 27-7 in the 4th quarter at home and cost us a trip to the MACC still haunts me. How the hell did we choke that game away??? SHM. But if there's one MAC game we won last year that we "should" have lost, the one to UB may be it. They had us on the ropes and really should have beaten us. I expect a helluva struggle vs them on Saturday.

Ugh, that game defined BG football during my time as a student...close but always find a way to blow it. GB always seemed to have the hyped teams that were picked to make some noise but ultimately always fell short towards the end of his tenure.

If our team was 2-8 against Buffalo, some of our players would hate Buffalo, too. This is no big deal.
