BG 56
UMass 35
If last year's game was any preview, we can expect a high scoring affair with tons of passing. I believe this game comes down to who can run the ball effectively which gives BG the advantage in being able to rotate the three-headed beast of Greene, Box and Wilson. UMass is better than their 1-3 record indicates and they do have enough offensive talent to score, however I'm not sold on their D being able to slow down the BG offense.
Fun prediction: BG sets a record for most yards in a game and this ends up being their highest scoring affair on offense of the season.

Bowling Green 38
Massachusetts 24
Takeaway: Bowling Green's ground game overpowers the UMASS three man front.

Until our offense plays a complete game... I'm not picking us to break 40....how odd did that sound?

Let's call Massachusetts what they are, the worst team we've faced all year. Their offense is good and will score a bit, but good luck trying to stop BG's offense.
UMass 24
BG 52

UMass strength (passing) going against our weakness (secondary) is a big concern to me. We have a tendency to make average quarterbacks look exceptional. I think BG wins but will need to score at least 35.
BG 49
Massachusetts 34

Not odd at all, Flip. We seem to be playing well for about 40-45 min a game. IF we play complete for 60? Sheet, we would hit 60.

I'm expecting a similar game to last year vs UMass, and similar to many of our games so far: BG offense good but sputters in spots, defense porous most of the game but makes a stop or two, and special teams not so special. Same type of back-and-forth game and score as last year:
UMass - 42
BG - 47

That would be nice. Babers always says the team comes together and clicks the best midway through season two. Look where we are in his tenure.

He has said from day one that things will come together in year 2 around games 4-6. Well this is year 2, game 6.

Year 2, games 4 and 5 weren't bad at all, IMO. If it gets even better from here then that's exciting.
