Kent State conpletely shut down UMass's offense in their own house. Very impressive. We better show up ready to play next week in Kent.

Until somebody stops us by holding us to 28? Buffalo just did that vs us just two games ago. Anyway, being Kent State is our next opponent and we'll be back on the road, seeing them hold a good UMass offense to 250 total yards and 10 points on their home field was pretty impressive. I'm sure our coaches will take note and it'll be mentioned on Monday in the presser, so I'd say they give a f**k.Flipper wrote:Who gives a f**k? We just scored 59 points against this awesome Akron defense...a group of terrible P5 level giants bent on destroying us. Until somebody stops us...I'm going to assume that nobody is going to stop us...and by stopping us I mean hold us to 28.
Kent has no shot....
Hah, Buffalo wouldn't have had that success without the aid of a howling wind and driving, cold rain.BGSU33 wrote:Until somebody stops us by holding us to 28? He only focuses on the negatives and worst case scenarios. It's beyond old.Falcon137 wrote:Yawn. You also couldn't stop blushing over Akron's defense.
BTW, no post on penalties this week?

We are going to win because we are the best offense in the MAC...hell...maybe the history of the MAC. I've never seen offensive talent like this here. Sharon/Sanders/Magner/Hawkins...that was a pretty good group. Not as good as Lewis/Deiter/Moore/Burbrink/Redding though... Jarrett was a pretty good TE....I think Lee is as good or better. Pope and Lane were a nice combo.... Greene/Coppet/Wilson are better. MJ is the man. Josh and Omar were great triggermen. MJ is right there with them.
Jesus...enjoy this. You're seeing a historic collection of offensive talent. This team can go five wide and cover 80 yards in 30 seconds or they can jumbo and pound out a five minute drive. Sure, we can focus on the penalties...the defensive growing pains from learning a new system...you can focus on whether there's enough of the right shade of brown in the fu**ing uniforms. Or you can appreciate the opportunity to see an amazing collection of athletes turn MAC defenses into tiny burnt cinders.

It never felt so good to be right. Didn't get to see any of the game but listened to the second half on the radio. Gooooood stuff guys!hammb wrote:I flat out don't care about any opposing defenses. Hey cannot stop us. They cannot slow us down. They cannot even hope to contain us. Get used to it. The opposing teams' defense has less bearing on our ability to win than how fresh the popcorn and pretzels are in the concession kiosks.
All that matters is how our offense executes. Meaning, Matty j's decision making, our ability to hold onto the ball, and penalties. Flat out, quite simply the ONLY people in the nation that can stop this offense is ourselves. Discussing opposing defenses, especially Mac teams, is pointless.
And yep, that's hubris. But I bet the players and coaches feel the same way and are working their butts off to ensure they hold up their end of the bargain.
Now opposing offenses could give our defense trouble. And certainly I still question our team discipline and specials. But the opposing defense? Pffft. Bring on whatever defense you want. s**t I'll let them play with 12 and we will still score. It's irrelevant
